All first-time hunters must pass at least one Hunter Safety Education courses sponsored by the Department of Environmental Conservation. Hunting licenses are issued on an annual basis. Additional annual hunting privileges, permits, or stamps may be needed to hunt turkey or carry a bow or muzzleloader.
