Virginia doesn't require snowmobiles to be registered. They must be titled, however. The dealership where you purchase your snowmobile will provide you with the proper paperwork to secure a title. If you buy your snowmobile second hand you may visit your nearest DMV office to fill out paperwork to obtain a title.
