Pianist, composer and Inner Circle Music recording artist, Lefteris Kordis, has established himself as a unique voice in the Mediterranean Jazz genre. He grew up in Elefsis, an ancient and multicultural town near Athens, Greece. Since age four, he has studied, performed, and composed based on a wide spectrum of genres, including with legendary Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis, as well as many maestros in jazz (Steve Lacy, Jerry Bergonzi, George Garzone, Joe Lovano), and Greek folk (Panayotis Lalezas, Glykeria, Vasilis Saleas). Kordis brings a musicologist’s ear for the un-tempered harmonies of ancient Byzantine chant, and teaches at both Berklee’s Global Jazz Institute and the Ionian University in Corfu.

Christos Rafalides is an acclaimed jazz vibraphonist, composer, and educator based in New York City. Since moving to New York, Rafalides has performed with Randy Brecker, Victor Lewis, Chaka Khan, Joe Locke, Antonio Sánchez, Steve Hass, Ravi Coltrane, Christian McBride, Wynton Marsalis, and Mike Stern, among many others. Rafalides has toured extensively throughout the world both as a leader and guest soloist. Some highlights include performances with the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra and Wynton Marsalis, a tour with the Charles Mingus Epitaph Band featuring bassist Christian McBride and conductor Gunther Schuller, a recording with the Harmony Ensemble of NY of Henry Mancini’s “Peter Gunn” featuring Lew Soloff, a tour through India and China with Dario Boente, as a guest faculty member at the Zeltsman Marimba Festival, and an Artist Residency at the Music Village in Greece.
