St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church of Perth Amboy invites the public to enjoy a celebration of Greek culture and food, live music, dancing, shopping and fun at our annual Greek Festival by the Bay.

Food and Drink:
Traditional Greek delicacies such as Authentic Gyros, souvlakia, delicious, crispy calamari, plus Greek dinner favorites such as Pastitsio, Moussaka, as well as, delicious desserts including baklava (walnut strudel), kourambiethes (butter cookies drenched in powdered sugar), koulourakia (butter cookies), finikia (sweet, honey, sugar cookies) and our famous loukoumades (honey puffs) will be offered which are all made fresh on the premises by festival volunteers. Complete the epicurean experience with a visit to our on-site Taverna Bar featuring imported Greek beer, wines and FRAPPE (Greek Iced Coffee), Greek and American coffee at our Kafenio (Café).  Visitors will dine outside enjoying fresh air breezes from our amazing location on the Perth Amboy Waterfront with our beautiful river view.

Greek Culture:
Enjoy live Greek music and dancing! Be sure to catch a performance by our St. Demetrios Greek Youth Dance Group, with our smiling, enthusiastic dancers eager to demonstrate our traditional Greek dances. In addition, Church tours will be offered for those wishing to see the beautifully restored St. Demetrios’ sanctuary and learn more about the Orthodox faith.
