Course:

Run for the Rose through the beautiful Lindsay Pettus Greenway, a hard surface trail incorporating asphalt, gravel, and boardwalk surfaces.  The Greenway winds through nature with 171 species of trees, shrubs and wildflowers, Gills Creek, and 2 public art tunnels. It will be a good location for a fast out and back race, and more leisurely runners might see members of the Greenway’s 129 species of birds or 25 species of mammals.

The Race for the Rose will be the inaugural 5K on the Greenway and we are so excited that you will join us!  After the race you can head just a mile down the road to the Red Rose Festival, the signature event of the City of Lancaster, for family fun.  There will be craft and business vendors, food vendors, a Kids Zone, live music, an antique car show, a dog show and lots more!
