The Saline Merry Mile presented by Ann Arbor Running Company, Trinity Health IHA Medical Group, and Concept Insurance Agency is a 1-mile race/run on Michigan Avenue in downtown Saline. The race kicks off at just after the tree lighting and will run along the annual holiday parade route assuring that there is a cheering section for all participants!
This is a great run for adults and children and is a great entry level race for beginning runners as well as a competitive event for seasoned athletes.
Register by November 18th to receive a long-sleeved race t-shirt!!
Registered adults can also register up to 2 runners, 10 years old or younger, to join them on the course for free. These younger athletes, as long as they are registered, will receive all of the race giveaways (long sleeve t-shirt, etc.).
The race will start at 5:30pm, once the tree is lit, and will be completed no later than 6:00pm to assure that the holiday parade can start on time. The race will begin at the 4 corners (Ann Arbor Street and Michigan Avenue) and run east on Michigan Ave until a turnaround point just before Old Creek/Maple. Once the runners turn around, they will head west on Michigan Avenue until they reach the finish line, west of the 4 corners. The race is noted for its' downhill start and finish. This is the only opportunity to run on Michigan Ave as the road is only closed 2 times per year.
