This 5k (Run/Walk) race is not just about running; it's about embracing mindfulness and creating meaningful connections. Participants will start their journey with a guided mindfulness session to center their thoughts and set positive intentions. As they run or walk the course, they'll be encouraged to reflect on personal growth and the supportive community around them.
The purpose of The Mindful Reboot© 5k is to promote holistic well-being by combining physical activity with mindfulness practices. It aims to inspire participants to reboot their minds, connect with others, and contribute to a positive community atmosphere. The event also highlights the importance of mental health and encourages participants to carry these mindful practices into their daily lives.
Schedule:
6:45 AM - 7:45 AM: Packet Pickup Participants arrive to collect their race packets and materials.
7:45 AM: Welcome and Announcements Brief introduction and overview of the event, including any important announcements.
7:50 - 8:00 AM: Mindfulness Session Guided mindfulness session to help participants center their thoughts and set positive intentions for the race.
8:00 - 9:00 AM: Race Start Participants begin the 5k race, enjoying the course and reflecting on personal growth and community support.
9:00 - 9:30 AM: Prizes Ceremony and Closing Recognition of race winners (Top 3 Male/Female by age category), followed by closing remarks.
9:30 - 9:45 AM: Mindfulness Session A final 15-minute mindfulness session to cool down and reflect on the experience.
*There will be additional well-being events from 9:45 to 10:15
