Schedule of Events:
7:00 pm: Elizabeth I: In Her Own Words
Starring Tammy L. Meneghini
Following a sold-out 2024 Edinburgh Fringe run.
British Theatre Guide, “a faultless production in every way, beautifully written, superbly performed, going through a huge range of emotions effortlessly, delivers a sexy, emotional, powerful queenly performance.”
Theatre Weekly “…a heart-wrenching, intimately moving portrait of an individual who continues to speak to the hearts and minds of so many.”
Elizabeth I ascended the English throne at one of the most vibrant and stormy periods in the country’s history. A canny stateswoman and inspirational leader, she was tasked with holding together a nation surrounded by hostile powers as a single woman in an overwhelmingly male and misogynistic culture.
It is a unique portrait of the last of the Tudor dynasty – one of history’s most compelling and enigmatic figures, created by a writer deeply immersed in the period, Carole Levin.
The play draws back the veil on a monarch who was revered by many as Gloriana, but whose personal life and political realities were always complex and dark.
Direction by Sabin Epstein and Elizabeth played by Tammy Meneghini. The show was produced at Edinburgh 2024 by Penny Cole, Flying Solo! Presents
Artist: Tammy L. Meneghini, Writer: Carole Levin, in collaboration with Tammy Meneghini, Director: Sabin Epstein, Music: Rick Pruitt, Costume: Markas Henry, producer Edinburgh 2024: Penelope Cole.

8:30 pm: Hide
Starring Jeffrey Doornbos
Christian’s world seems to be split in two, part Dr. Jekyll and part Mr. Hyde. After a falling out with his church congregation, he takes matters into his own hands. He soon discovers where true darkness dwells. He thinks he’s prepared for what’s to come, but is he?
Jeffrey Doornbos (Performer/Writer): A former Blue Man with Blue Man Group, and currently an actor, writer and producer in film, theatre, and TV, Jeffrey finds himself exploring his Dutch Reformed religious upbringing and how it relates with present day culture in his new solo play, “HIDE”. This is Jeffrey’s first produced play as a writer and performer. Jeffrey utilizes his experiences growing up in rural northwest Iowa, including his introduction to the tale of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde as a 12 old boy, to spin a dramatic yarn that explores the interplay between justice and revenge, and, in the process, illuminates his moral stand-off with what was once his beloved church community.
Dani Davis (Director) is an Emmy award-winning writer, Tony-nominated Broadway producer, Helen Hayes award recipient, award winning theater and film director/choreographer, and entertainment entrepreneur. A graduate of Duke University, she’s the proud mom of Noah and Nina.
Shae D’lyn (Dramaturg): writer/director/actor Boardwalk Empire, If It Bleeds It Leads: Best Storyteller, United Solo Fall 2023, Have a Nice Day United Solo Fall 2025, Founder Wingéd Monkeys.
*An earlier incarnation of “HIDE” was presented in collaboration with Shae D’lyn as a part of the Wingéd Monkeys Collective, in Hudson, NY.
