Resident hunters aged 18 and over must prove their Alaska residency to obtain a hunting license in the state. Residents under 10 years of age must be supervised by a hunter who is at least 16 years-old. Hunters aged 10 years and older must have their own big game tags and harvest ticker or permit. All non-residents, regardless of age, must have a hunting license. Hunting license applicants must furnish proof of residency and a Social Security Number, along with all applicable fees.
