As in most Midwestern states, hunting seasons in Wisconsin tend generally to cluster in the fall and early winter months. This is true of the seasons for deer, bear, migratory birds, and most other game birds. There is a spring hunting season for wild turkey and a winter hunting season (January through March) for crow. The cottontail rabbit season extends until the end of February. The seasons for fur-bearing animals do tend to go longer. Be sure to check the most up-to-date information on the DNR's website before heading out into the field or forest.
