The Delaware and Potomac Rivers, along with Chesapeake Bay, define much of Maryland's fishing landscape. The inland counties, as they reach toward the Appalachians are where anglers will find trout fishing opportunities. Many of the state parks also offer lakes and ponds that are ideal for family fishing.
