Both new and used snowmobiles need to be registered at a DMV location in Vermont. No matter if your snowmobile is used or new, you must fill out a Vermont Snowmobile Registration/Title Application. For new snowmobiles, bring the manufacturer's Certificate of Origin and the bill of sale. For used snowmobiles, bring the bill of sale and the original Certificate of Title if the snowmobile was previous titled. If a used snowmobile was not previously titled, then bring the Registration Certificate and the bill of sale.
