Virginia hunting seasons vary, dependent upon the type of firearm used and the animal or animals you are hunting. Game seasons are separated out between big game, small game, migratory game bird, and furbearers. As an example, deer hunting season generally falls between October and January (depending on the method you are using for hunting) and quail hunting season generally falls between mid-November and late January.
