Snowmobiles are not allowed on public highways, except to make crossings, and never on interstates or interstate ditches. They can be ridden in the right-hand ditches along other roads or as marked along designated snowmobile trails. When riding in ditches or along road rights of way, a snowmobile owner must have proof of insurance.
