Ducks Unlimited - The Colonial Croaker Classic

The County of York and the Historic Triangle Chapter of Ducks Unlimited will host the first Colonial Croaker Classic.  The tournament will be based at the Riverwalk Landing in Historic Yorktown.  This is an all age’s event that that will include a day of fishing on the York River, and any other river in the Chesapeake Bay and the bay to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel followed by a weigh-in each day,  Sunday awards ceremony, raffles, trophies, and food and drinks. Participants can launch from any desired ramp or fishing from any shore or pier. The eligible fishing area is the whole Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries extending downriver to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. Lines are in the water each day no earlier than 6:00 am and the weigh-in at the Freight Shed will be open from 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm both Saturday and Sunday.  Awards dinner will begin at 6:00 pm on Sunday August 3, 2025 at thee Freight Shed.
