In Montana, the hunting regulations vary by species, license, and the hunting arms you choose to use. The regulations also tend to change after the print version is released, so it's a prudent practice to visit the Fish, Wildlife and Parks website before you head out into the field. Folks who don't meet the qualifications for resident licenses must obtain a non-resident licenses and endorsements. They should also be sure to check the species-specific regulations, as some Montana species cannot be taken by non-resident hunters.
