Our 11th Running!

This one's going to be special...

It's hard to put into words just how amazing it is for Allerton Races to be coming back for an 11th running! This event started as a crackpot scheme to show off Allerton's potential as a half marathon site after the old bridge across the Sangamon was replaced and the park became "whole" again, AND to raise funds for Make-A-Wish Illinois!

The park did not disappoint. In fact over the years, Allerton's staff have made trail and facility improvements, and the park is more special than ever as a year-round running/hiking destination, and as the perfect venue for a race weekend!

Likewise, the race has become a can't-miss event for all who love nature, fitness, good music, encouragement, and Wish Families! We strive to make the experience challenging yet fun, with seriously cool race medals on Saturday, and with lighted statues and sights and sounds to remember on Friday night!

For our 11th, we have a few more surprises planned that you do NOT want to miss.

The trails are calling! We're calling! And we hope you'll answer the call and come experience this special place!

Registration is up and running! Time to jump in and run/walk with us!!!

Course Info:

5K Trail-Glo

Experience Allerton After Dark and see the park in a whole new light! Starting and finishing near the Visitor Center, you'll follow illuminated trail markings under a starry sky, and you'll also provide a lot of the glow! You'll also pass right through the nighttime magic of the Sun Singer, Sunken Garden, Chinese Musicians, Rodin's Adam, and more, as you make your way to the finish! This race is the perfect night-before warm-up for Saturday competitors. Entrants must bring their own headlamp, arm-light, or flashlight. Race time 8:30 P.M.
