Chef Eric Skokan from Black Cat Bistro
Eric and Jill Skokan opened Boulder’s Black Cat Farm – Table – Bistro in 2006. At Black Cat Chef Eric has developed a ‘Front Range Cuisine’–dishes that reveal the bounty of the forests, fields, and mountains of Colorado. The Skokans built a 130-acre, certified organic farm and ranch that supplies their restaurants. They raise Tuniw and Karakul sheep, Mulefoot pigs, heritage chickens and turkeys, Toulouse geese, and grow organic fruits, herbs and vegetables.

Bourbon, known as America’s Spirit, has exploded in popularity. In this introductory seminar, Stanford will explain what differentiates bourbon from whiskeys, ryes, and scotch. The seminar covers flavor profiles, major distilleries, and the best ways to enjoy bourbon. Participants will sample bourbons, ryes, whiskeys, and enjoy a surprise tasting of a rare spirit.

A self-guided tour of local art galleries, museums and alternative venues in downtown. The Steamboat Food and Wine Festival will host multiple locations throughout the tour.

Choose from Three Unique, 4-Course Wine Dinners
Enjoy a jaw-dropping culinary experience with a 4-course wine dinner prepared by a collaboration of chefs and sommeliers. Chef Caroline Glover, Food and Wine Magazines “Best New Chef, 2019” of Denver’s annette and Chef Gabriel Ledemsa of Table 79 part of the Destination Hospitality Restaurant Group will spearhead one dinner. Top Chef winner Hosea Rosenberg of Boulder’s Black Belly will partner with our own Culinary Director, Patrick Ayres, also Culinary Director for the Destinations Hospitality Restaurant group for a dinner. For our third dinner, rising Chef Kelly Whitaker of Boulders Basta and Denver BØH and Brutø will partner with Texas sensation Jason Dady.
