The species for which Arkansas is most famous are brown trout and largemouth bass. You'll also find striped bass, rainbow trout, and smallmouth bass in the lakes and rivers of the Natural State. The Mississippi River and its tributaries hold catfish, as well as paddlefish and alligator gar.
