What are the hunting seasons in Haledon, NJ?

Hunting season varies depending on the animal being hunted, the weapon used and the permit you have. There are three general seasons for deer hunting, fall bow season, winter bow season, and the six-day firearm buckseason. Many of the deer management areas open for hunters in New Jersey have seasons that begin in November or December and end in January or February. There is a fall turkey season, which occurs in late October to early November, and a spring turkey season that occurs in late April through mid-May. As the dates change year to year for turkey season, always check local ordinances. Black bear hunting season is separated into three seasons depending on the type of weapon you'd like to use. Archers and those using a muzzleloader can hunt black bears in mid-October. Firearms can be used to hunt bear during select weeks in December. Lastly, waterfowl hunting season depends on what zone you'd like to hunt in, north zone, south zone, or coastal zone.
