There are a variety of hunting seasons in Nevada. For elk, hunting season generally falls between August and October, big horn sheep are generally hunted between November and early January, and mule deer can be hunted through late summer and into winter. Elk, big horn sheep, and mule deer are big game, which still leaves upland game, migratory bird, furbearer, and spring turkey seasons. For more specifics, visit the Nevada Department of Wildlife's regulations page. You can also find downloadable brochures for hunting seasons at their eRegulations page.
