Children aged 12 to 15 must have a HuntSafe ID card in order to obtain a license to hunt in South Dakota. Eleven year-olds may take the course, but their HuntSafe certification will not be issued until they turn 12. Visit the Game, Fish and Parks website to locate a HuntSafe course in your neck of the woods.
