A Kansas-approved hunter education course is not required if you're hunting on your own land or if you're 15 years or younger and hunting under the direct supervision of an adult who is licensed to hunt in Kansas. All other hunters born on or after July 1, 1957-regardless of residency-must complete a hunter education course or prove the equivalent from their home state. You can find a class schedule or enroll in a traditional or Internet-assisted course at the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks & Tourism website. A "crash" course is available for non-residents who haven't completed an acceptable hunter education course in their own state.
