Along with the inshore waters that lie between the mainland and Georgia's barrier islands-—which are known to be stocked—the state is home to several designated public fishing areas (PFAs). These include Flat Creek, Marben, Ocmulgee, Paradise, as well over a handful more. The river basins of northwestern Georgia are stocked with bass, catfish, carp, trout, and plenty more, all depending on region.
