In New Mexico, anglers can go after six species of trout, including brook, brown, rainbow, and gila trout, as well as several varieties of salmon. You'll also find smallmouth, largemouth and spotted bass, as well as walleye, tiger muskie, and northern pike in the waters of New Mexico. Three large catfish species, blue, flathead and channel, also make their home in the state's waters.
