Two Maryland state forests allow ATV operators to use their trails—both Savage River State Forest and Potomac-Garrett State Forest. Operators are urged to call the office of the state forest ahead of time to make sure there are no current trail closings or hazards. You may operate an ATV on privateproperty with permission from the property owner.
