Listing the best places to fish in Oregon is like reading from a "Best of" list for world-class steelhead and trout streams. The Deschutes, Hood, and Columbia Rivers are a fine place to get started. The John Day and Wallowa Rivers are also renowned for trout, steelhead, and smallmouth bass. The Malheur and Chewaucan are also awesome trout fisheries. It almost makes you forget Oregon's hundreds of miles of Pacific Coast that make for great saltwater shore angling.
