Ohio has many hunting regulations and laws that must be followed. Check the annual Hunting & Regulations Guide for more detailed regulations. Immediately after an animal is harvested, the hunter must record the time and date of harvest on the temporary kill tag and attach it to the animal. Game animals must be taken with either a longbow, crossbow, or any caliber handgun, rifle or shotgun. Hunters cannot shoot from across or near a public roadway.
