Alabama hunters who were born after Aug. 1, 1977 must complete a state-approved hunter education course in order to obtain a hunting license. Courses can be taken by participants who are at least 10 years-old. The classes are a minimum of eight hours-long and can be completed entirely online. If you prefer to take a traditional, in-person class, check the Outdoor Alabama website to find and register for a class location near you.
