Thinking about 2018 like ^^^ There are many things we want to focus on in 2018, one of them being to try new things! I was scared to step out onto that ice for fear of falling. As I stood there, I watched kids excitedly put on their skates and get out there as fast as possible. I brushed off their bravery, “of course they have no hesitation, kids are fearless and they pick up on things so fast!” But the longer I watched, I realized how wrong I was. They weren’t fearless, they didn’t have master skills, these kids were slipping and sliding and falling on their butts repeatedly. They had fear.....but the defining factor between children and most adults is that children don’t let their fear control them, they face it! They look at it as a challenge and they go for it. The older we get, we let fear slowly creep in more and more and it defines a lot of our choices. That. Stops. Now. *************************************** I held on to the ice rink wall the first couple times I went around. Then slowly but surely I worked my way off the wall and was freely skating around, it was so fun! ******************************** Challenge yourself. Stop letting your fear get in the way of awesome life experiences. We challenge you to make a list of 12 things, one a month, that you are going to put fear aside and try for the first time in 2018! ******************************** #flexfuel #flexfuellife #iifym #macros #thorbeckescrossfit #mindyourmacros #nutritioncoaching #accountability #diet #food #fitness #health #nutrition #gym #strength #flexibleeating #trackingmacros #goals #newyear
