You'll find yourself lost in vibrant hues of yellow, red, orange within the 10 miles of carriage paths and trails. If you're looking for a moderate hike, check out the two-mile-loop Ledge Hill Trail. Kayaking around Plum Island offers visitors the most beautiful views of this quaint Massachusetts area from the water. Coming in September, October, or November will give you a gorgeous weather and sights as well as less crowded beaches for a more personal time. Featuring 30 miles of trails, Pittsfield State Forest is the most popular place—and one of very few legal places—to go ATVing in the Bay State. Those with ATVs must park their vehicles at Potter Mt.
