1. Dash Point State Park, Federal Way, WA

Winter recreation was never more fun than at Dash Point State Park in Federal Way, Washington. Add to your winter fun by staying overnight in one of the modern camping cabins near Puget Sound. Each cabin can house up to five guests, and a small kitchenette is provided. Cabins are rustic, however, so you’ll want to bring along warm clothing and linens. Pets are permitted in specific cabins only and for an additional fee. Bathrooms and showers are separate from the cabins, but just a short walk away. 

2. Alpine Lakes High Camp, Leavenworth, WA

You can have your own private retreat at one of the nine cabins offered at Alpine Lakes High Camp in Leavenworth, Washington. Whether you want a romantic weekend getaway or a family vacation, you’ll find the right cabin for your activity level. Each private one-room cabin has a gas stove, propane wall lamps and cook stove, dishes and cookware in the kitchen area, and mattresses and pillows. All you need is food, drink, sleeping linens, and your imagination. Larger cabins can sleep 6-10 people and may have a loft above the main room.

Not your typical winter camping cabin, Quartz Mountain Fire Lookout in Mount Spokane State Park is a unique experience. There is no electricity in the lookout, but you can bring your own food to prepare on the propane stove. Step outside on the wraparound deck and view the amazing landscape of the valley and mountains from 5,000 feet up. Up to four people can stay overnight, but pets can’t.
