The ultimate seaside camping experience, Hither Hills State Park is right on the beach in Montauk, with 168 spots for tent camping or RV camping. Campers enjoy two miles of white-sand beach and miles of hiking in the Hither Hills nature preserve.
Camping is available near Otsego Lake, which is the “glimmerglasss” of James Fenimore Cooper’s “Leatherstocking Tales.” Aside from wandering the sandy beach, campers can enjoy hiking, grilling, and exploring nearby attractions like Hyde Hall Mansion and the Baseball Hall of Fame.
