Cast your line for winter fishing

Fish, shrimp, and crabs are abundant in these nutrient-rich waters. The Davis Bayou campground has a fishing pier that’s perfect for dropping a line, or you can ferry across to West Ship Island for more hot spots. You’ll need a Mississippi saltwater fishing license, but it’s well worth the minimal effort to get one.

Boat over to Horn Island

Accessible only by private boat, this family-friendly excursion is a trip off the beaten path. Explore the wilderness on Horn Island, which is home to wildlife, a variety of bird species, and primitive campsites. The island is ideal for picnics, birdwatching, or simply getting away from the usual hustle and bustle of daily life.

I think this may be one of, if not the best shot I've ever taken of the famous Biloxi Lighthouse. With this, my Mississippi photos come to an end, for a little while. Tomorrow begins the new journey of exploring & discovering Chicago. I feel like it is poetic to end the MS photos for a little while with a sunset. In literature & folklore, sunsets marked the transition zone. The hero would be faced with the ending of one life, & the beginning of another. In a way that's where I am. The transition zone. I hope it won't take me too long to integrate into Chicago's photography elite, yet simultaneously that my efforts in Mississippi & elsewhere don't go ignored. I think deep down I want to have both. The urban vibes of the city & the calm, methodical peace of the Southern states. Perhaps I can have both...to be continued... #MSCoastLife #Mississippi #Lighthouse #SunsetLovers #Sunset_Vision #Sunset #TravelStoke #TravelPhotographer #VisualsOfLife #ArtOfVisuals #SonyA7rii #SonyAlpha #A7rii #Sky_Brilliance #Perspective #AGameOfTones #Wanderlust #Landmark #Historic #USAPrimeShot #IGers_Southeast #CloudzDelight #PhotographersOfInstagram #DailyPhoto #Instagood10k #BeachLife #Coastal #ToBeContinued #100k
