While you're stuck at home, hone your target shooting skills!
Americans across the country are being asked to practice social distancing in order to flatten the curve of the coronavirus outbreak. With businesses closings, large gatherings cancelled, and spring weather in the air, it’s the perfect time to get outdoors.
If you have access to an informal shooting range to practice your plinking, there isn't a better time to sharpen your skills than now.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation has some great resources such as free downloadable paper targets that are great for plinking. They even have an Easter egg-themed target for the month of April. When you do get ready to pull the trigger, remember to wear your eye and ear protection and remember the rules of firearm safety.
When life returns to normal, consider heading out to the range with a friend to contribute to the continued growth and popularity of target shooting. If you've never gone shooting before, ask a friend to show you the ropes. If you’re a seasoned sportsman, invite someone new to try it out. There are lots of resources online on where to shoot and how to get started.
