Cultural Workshops at Clark College

​​Experience the rich traditions of Hawaiian culture through hands-on workshops led by master practitioners from Hawai'i. Open to all ages, these workshops offer a unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge of Hawaiian arts, from hula and 'ukulele to traditional weaving and more. Whether you are a beginner or have years of experience, there’s something for everyone to learn and enjoy.

Hapa Haole Hula Competition and Mele On The Lawn with The Mākaha Sons at Esther Short Park​​

​Celebrate the timeless charm of Hapa Haole hula at our spirited competition, where dancers of all ages showcase their grace, storytelling, and aloha. With lively melodies and classic hula stylings, this event honors the unique fusion of Hawaiian dance and English-language music. The excitement continues as we close out the competition with Mele on the Lawn, featuring a special performance by the legendary Mākaha Sons—a perfect way to end the evening with beautiful music under the stars!
