The White River Valley Chamber is pleased to announce that the Fourth of July parade will be held this year on Friday , July 4, 2025. The post-parade festival will once again be held at the recreation field, and we are planning a lot of entertainment and activities!
“RED, WHITE and GREEN MOUNTAINS!” is the theme for the parade, and now is the time to think about your parade entries. We ask that entries reflect the theme. This theme opens the door for unlimited creativity! We are looking forward to some inspiring entries. We are also hoping for horses and oxen! We encourage sponsorships also - forms are posted on the website.
An important announcement: We are seeking 15 volunteers to assist with traffic and crowd control. Last year, volunteers served as traffic controllers, which worked very well.
Please contact the Chamber at 728-9027 or email [email protected] if you have any questions about participating in the parade. Remember that our insurance prohibits parade entries from throwing candy or other goodies from the floats! If you want to give out goodies, please have someone walking by the float to hand them to children. This is also a safety issue!
We remind parade watchers to stay on the grass and sidewalks to allow our floats to maneuver through the parade route.
Please come to the parade and to the post-parade festival, where there will be food, activities for children, and music! For parade watchers, we remind you that the parade ends at the rec field, so that School Street is a great place to watch as well and easy to get to the rec field for all the festivities.
