To honor his contribution to the boxing community in Hawaii, a run will be held on Oct 13th 2024 to raise mental health awareness in our society. Known as the"Mighty Kalding" in the boxing community, Arnel was a beloved boxer with a passion for coaching. The word "Kalding" means goat in Ilocano, which is Arnel's ethnic background. While boxing and coaching, he instilled in his students the idea that they should be mighty. With this, Arnel coined his boxing logo, The Mighty Kalding, bringing the "GOAT" out of you.

Approximately 9.5% of American adults ages 18 and over, will suffer from a depressive illness each year.  This event is to spread awareness about mental health and to show support for those going through mental health issues.
