AfroAmp started as an Afrobeats and Amapiano music-led event held on the first and third Sundays at Saint-Ex in Washington, DC. DJ Mambo created it to be a safe space for people to feel free, dance, and enjoy themselves. Its purpose was to create a stage for the under-represented and often overlooked genres of the world.
