Schedule of Events

7:00am: Hike to Horsetail Falls, Trailhead

Meet long-time residents, and area trail experts, Jessica Smuin and Jeff Davis at the Horsetail Falls trailhead (at the end of north Grove Drive).
This hike is a 4.2 mile out-and-back trail so wear good shoes, and don't forget your water.
A moderately challenging route with 1,600 ft of elevation gain, the hike takes about 2.5 hours on average to complete.

10:00-11:30am: Kids Storytime and Craft, The Workshop (180 East 200 North)

The Workshop and Friends of the Library have teamed up to create a special activity.
Come listen to a story, or maybe two.
Stay to create and share.
Fee: $5 to cover the cost of materials
Space is limited to the first 100 registrations.

12:00noon-8:00pm: Boutiques, Creekside Park

Alpine Days is known for having an amazing Boutique with fantastic vendors.
This year we will have two days of booths, selling all sorts of wares.
Come support our local small businesses and take home some amazing finds!
Shops will be open Friday, 12noon-8:00pm and Saturday, 10:00am-8:00pm.

12noon-10:00pm: Carnival, Creekside Park

The Carnival is returning to town!
Buy a discounted ONE-DAY unlimited wristband ticket for $35 at City Hall from July 15 - Aug 7. Exchange that ticket at the carnival for a wristband. All participants must be present at the ticket booth to have the wristband placed for them.
On-site prices will be in effect Aug 8th & 9th: $1.50 per ticket (rides cost multiple tickets), 20 for $20 or a 1-day wristband for $40.

4:30-10:00pm: Music in the Park, Creekside Park

Get ready to rock! Join us for an epic night of reggae, rock, and high-energy punk.
With local bands bringing electric vibes, this is the place to chill, dance, and let loose.
Bands begin playing at 4:30 and will entertain us throughout the day.
Set up a tent or just find a shady spot and listen to the talented performers with your friends and neighbors.

Noon - 6PM : Alpine's Past in Paint, Alpine Art Center

Art Exhibit by Painter-Sculptor Dennis Smith
Step into the soul of Alpine through the eyes of one of its own. In Alpine's Past in Paint, acclaimed painter and sculptor Dennis Smith invites you on a heartfelt journey through the town's early days—where dirt roads, weathered homes, and majestic mountain scenes come alive in vivid color and memory.
As a native son of Alpine, Dennis captures the essence of a close-knit community shaped by nature, simplicity, and time. Each brushstroke tells a story—not just of place, but of belonging.
Join us for a special evening with the artist, Friday, August 8th | 6:00-8:00 PM
Hear Dennis Smith speak about his paintings, his childhood in Alpine, and how growing up in a small town has shaped his art and life.

7:30pm: Rodeo, Alpine Rodeo Grounds

This is a professional rodeo with eight events.
Gates open at 6:15, Mutton Bustin' is at 6:45, Rodeo begins at 7:30.
Tickets will go on sale July 1st.
Ticket cost is $13 each, quantities are limited. Some resident-only tickets will be available at City Hall.
