Hagood Mill Historic Site is thrilled to announce the return of the annual Americana Folk Festival with a full day of soul-stirring music, Appalachian tradition, and community celebration.
This year’s headliner is The Resonant Rogues, a dynamic band rooted in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Fronted by songwriting duo Sparrow and Keith Josiah Smith, The Resonant Rogues blend Appalachian old-time, classic country, and vintage soul into a sound uniquely their own. With a rich touring history and performances alongside Sierra Ferrell, Lost Dog Street Band, Charlie Parr, and more, they’re bringing their nationally recognized talent to the historic stage at Hagood Mill.
Joining the lineup are celebrated regional musicians:
Freddie Vanderford, a master of Piedmont blues and harmonica legend
Brandon Turner, acclaimed guitarist with deep Upstate South Carolina roots
Carolina Slim, a storyteller steeped in traditional blues and folk
Derrick Phillips, local folk icon, multi-instrumentalist, and beloved educator
Rachel Van Slyke, singer-songwriter whose voice carries heartfelt depth and Americana charm
In addition to live music, guests will enjoy traditional artisan demonstrations, operating grist mill tours with fresh stone-ground grains available for purchase, artisan vendors, food trucks, and the rich cultural experience that defines every Hagood Mill event.
Admission is $5 for ages 10 and up; children 9 and under are free. Entry includes access to the Heritage Pavilion and the renowned Hagood Creek Petroglyph Center. Visitors are encouraged to bring chairs and settle in for a memorable day under the open sky
