Thunderbird Ukulele 7:00 pm
This ukulele ensemble from Bettye Davis East Anchorage High School performs orchestral arrangements of pop songs we all know and love. They perform throughout the school year at different festivals and events and are looking forward to returning to Hawaii again in March this year to tour the island of Oahu. In Hawaii they will be performing and working with schools there to share their special brand of ukulele music. All the performers in Thunderbird Ukulele are students from East High, and they are directed by their teacher Kiel Schweizer. The group has seven kinds of ukuleles along with a drummer, and one of the students even mixes the sound levels during the show.

Corey Ledet Zydeco 9:00 pm
Bill Wilson, writing for Reflections in Blue, says "Corey Ledet merges pop, funk, RandB, gospel, reggae, and zydeco for a sound that is totally today, aimed at a younger generation, upbeat, completely danceable and yet, somehow tied to his roots in such a way that the blues related aspects are not completely lost on the shuffle…." Come dance to the rich-in-traditions musical experience of this twice-Grammy-nominated artist to end the first night of Week 2 of the festival at the Wendy!
