48th Annual 4th of July Parade & Fireworks "Celebrating Freedom"

Thursday, July 4th, marks the 48th year of the Key Largo 4th of July parade.   The parade's theme is celebrating "Freedom."  Parade entrants are encouraged to decorate their floats to commemorate our Freedom.

The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. at mile marker 98.2 in front of Anthony's Clothing Store and continue through the town to Laguna Avenue.  Float awards will be announced later in the day through Facebook and Instagram.

At 4:00 PM, the celebration continues at Monroe County-owned Rowell's Waterfront Park, mile marker 104.5, which will be open for the community to watch the fireworks (parking is limited—shuttle from Key Largo School). Enjoy live music, food, beverages, games, and fun activities for the kiddos. No outside food or drinks are allowed, but bring your chairs or blankets!

The annual Bayfront Blackwater Sound fireworks celebration will occur at approximately 9:15 p.m. Once again, Key West International Airport is our title sponsor for the fireworks and parade.

We are still looking for sponsors; if you are interested, contact the Key Largo Chamber at 305.451.1414.

If you want the perfect seat for the fireworks, you can view them at several businesses located on the Bay. Make your reservation now at J.J. Big Chill for the perfect seat.

Also, volunteers and parade entrants are needed.   If you want to sign up for a float or volunteer, register below or call 305-451-1414
