10:00 am: Mike Silva
Mike is a local full-time musician and a multi-instrumentalist. He started playing out at 18. He is an accomplished songwriter and soloist. His solo style is full of classic ballads from the 60’s on up. He is also a local Gypsy Jazz/New Orleans style band. His big band is call the Catnip Junkies and they have a CD out.
12:00 pm: Seamus Patrick McMullan
Seamus is a Singer-Songwriter and storyteller from New England specializing in American Roots music and modern Experimental Blues. He is currently playing shows locally, but this boy has larger than life aspirations to match his mighty voice and memorable performances. Seamus plays a variety of original songs and interpretive covers of his favorite artists, including Townes Van Zandt, Johnny Cash, Son House, George Strait, and Blaze Foley. Seamus cut his teeth playing in the bars and cafes of Southern New England and has been writing and performing for 20 years. His sophomore album, entitled "Mighty Lungs" is set for release this year. His debut album, called "Distant Roots" is available on Spotify, iTunes, and YouTube. If you like authentic, raw expressions of bittersweet human experience, then this is one set you do not want to miss.
2:00 pm: Phil Palonen
A guitarist and composer, Phil attended Berklee School of Music in the 1970's where he studied the guitar and the saxophone. With a life long passion for performing jazz, recent performances with international artist Greg Abate, vocalist/trombonist Naomi Wharry, the Brooklyn 4, and the popular Leslie Alexandra quartet have been noted in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Phil has 1 CD entitled the "Phil Palonen Project." and has recorded another waiting publication. Phil also teaches guitar at the Rectory School in Pomfret CT.
