The Lake Area Technical College Foundation Festival of Trees is an annual fundraiser help to "Build a Better Lake Area Technical College" through scholarships, program enhancements and campus improvements. Last year, the Foundation awarded nearly 450 scholarships totaling over $450,000.
Since 2000, the Foundation has hosted the event on the Friday before Thanksgiving. The Festival is a gala event and includes a Silent and Live auction. Individuals, businesses and corporations donate beautifully decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, holiday ensembles or very unique items to the auction. There are generally 35 live auction items and 55 silent auction items. Each unique gift donated to the event provides fun and excitement for our guests, and makes this event a crowd favorite each year!
