Various Venues In Grand Rapids

Since 1977, the Applebutter Fest has been a beloved local tradition, offering a blend of historical re-enactments, artisan crafts, live music, delectable food, and of course, delicious apple butter. What began as a modest gathering has blossomed into a vibrant event, drawing over 30,000 attendees annually. Guided by the Historical Society of Grand Rapids Ohio, our dedicated team of volunteers takes pride in building an unforgettable experience for all

Live Music

Live music adds a soundtrack to the visitor experience at the Applebutter Fest. With stages on Mainstreet and the Tow Path, there is no shortage of melody.

Children's Area

Stop by the Children's Area for all-day activities geared toward our youngest Applebutter Fest visitors.   In recent years, we've had jugglers, ventriloquists, puppeteers, costumed storytellers, and clowns, who make balloon animals, paint faces, and apply temporary hair color.  Seating is provided (chairs, benches, and/or straw bales).

Crafts/Food:

Front Street Juried Crafts

Crafts on Front Street is sponsored by the Historical Society of Grand Rapids Ohio.  Thousands of handcrafted items made by local artisans are featured in 100+ booths that span the full length of the downtown area from West Street to Mill Street. This is the perfect place at the perfect time to do some holiday shopping!
