Come and visit us this Arbor Day! Make a weekend out of it; stay a few days, visit some museums, shop a bit, see the sights…plant a tree!

Schedule of Events

10K at 7 a.m. / 5K at 9 a.m. / Kids Run at 10 a.m.

Run or walk in the footsteps of J. Sterling Morton! The annual Arbor Day 5K Fun Run/Walk will be on Saturday, April 26 - 10K at 7a, 5K at 9a, and Kids Run will begin at 10a. All will start and finish at the Woodland Grove behind Lied Lodge at Arbor Day Farm. Check-in begins at 6:30am for 10K and 8:30 am for 5K and Kids Run. Packet pick-up will be Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm at the NCTC Office or the morning of the event on-site. Details about the route will be available before the start of the event. Watch the NCTC website for route information as it is released. Fur babies are welcome on a leash. The route is mostly gravel and may be difficult for strollers. There will be medals awarded to top runners. The entry fee includes a t-shirt (not guaranteed for late entries) and a finisher medal.

Arbor Day BBQ
Time: 5 to 8 p.m.
Location: Memorial Building
Description: The Arbor Day BBQ is back! Enjoy Cargill brisket, chips, potato salad, drink, and dessert. The Arbor Town Throw Down will take place at 7 p.m.
