Schedule Of Events

7:00 pm : Candice Tiffany Gordon

“Park Road is a coming-of-age story about a young woman’s struggle to cope with the loss of her family home when her grandfather is forced to sell it after falling ill with Cancer. The protagonist experiences not only what she perceives as a loss of generational wealth, but also the loss of her family structure as she knows it. Some of the themes explored include the impact of untreated mental illness, the consequences of poor estate planning, racism, colorism, and gentrification. While these themes are an essential part of the conversation, the crux of the story is rooted in love and loss; loss of a life once known and the clipping of one’s future. Run Time: 1 hour 15 minutes. Ages: Ages 13+

7:00 pm : Eco.Logic

This quirky play follows the lives of two women navigating life with climate anxiety. The play follows the journey of the two friends as it toggles between the present and a somewhat dystopian 2074, covering various themes including climate-migration, modern dating, family planning, and more! “Come Along for the Ride: A Journey through Climate Grief,” is Rozina Kanchwala’s sophomore play that will be produced by Eco.Logic, a nonprofit organization that uses art and education to build connections and inspire environmental action. Using playwriting as a way to channel her own climate anxiety, Rozina turned to theater, where she saw the potential in bringing an important topic to a wider audience in a creative and engaging way. Following the success of her first play, “Love in the Time of Climate Change” that was performed as part of the Atlas Intersections Festival in 2020, Rozina founded the nonprofit Eco.Logic and is excited to go deeper into some of the salient themes of this play. Eco.Logic focuses on three main types of activities: Eco.Art, Eco.Education, and Eco.Land. This play production is part of the Eco.Art stream, which has also held playwriting workshops, eco.art galleries, eco.art spoken word events, a podcast series, and more.” Run Time: 1 hour 15 minutes. All Ages

7:30 pm : Company - E

“Heart Still Beating” is an intimate evening-length dance work that follows the journey of the heart along its countless pathways. It weaves together choreography by Company | E's Artistic directors Paul Emerson and Kathryn Pilkington, along with founding member Robert Priore and Ukrainian choreographers Anastasia Kharkenko and Kate Kurman, all to a score by the incomparable Zoe Keating. Using chairs as props or as installations in the space, 7 dancers perform contemporary movement and ideas, interacting with each other and depicting emotions and themes from life today that connect us to one another. Love, family, friendship, strife, sadness, and ultimately, community and strength carry the work forward. Run Time: 1 hour. All Ages

8:00 pm : Motion X Dance Company

A collection of danceworks on a theme of mental health. MIND X MOTION is a dynamic repertory performance dedicated to shedding light on mental health. The evening features the world premiere of “ARMOR”, an exploration of the protective facades we construct to shield our inner struggles. Audiences will also experience a newly commissioned work by a guest choreographer (to be announced soon) and a revival of “It’s On Her”, choreographed by Sammi Rosenfeld, which originally captivated audiences during its 2016 debut. Ages: All Ages. Run Time: 1 Hour
