5:00 pm : Liberated Muse

"Echoes of U Street: The Unsung Harmonies of Black Broadway" is a vibrant musical theatrical presentation that brings to life the rich history of Black Broadway in DC through soulful music, evocative spoken word poetry, and captivating performances. Liberated Muse is a multi-disciplinary artist collective presenting music, theatre, spoken word and films that highlight the experiences and stories of people of the African diaspora. Founded in 2008, Liberated Muse’s work also focuses on the work of women who have used their platform for social justice. Run Time: 1 hour

5:00 pm : Amber Lucia Chabus

Sana, Sana traces matrilineal and Hispanic lineages to find magic, identity and healing. In this evening-length work, four performers are accompanied by a mirage of frogs in retrieving childhood comforts, spells, and remedies to heal forward. The performers explore a tribute to themselves through movement, spoken word, crocheting, pointing, pushing, and raving. An intimate and immersive evening of reflection, audiences are reminded that, like the popular children’s saying "Sana, Sana, Colita de Rana", if you won’t heal today, you will heal tomorrow. Run Time: 1 hour 15 minutes. Ages: All Ages

5:30 pm : Capitol Movement

Moving in many directions - exploring multiple generations, diversity, and art forms- that is CMI.Innovation to fearlessly move in many directions! This show will encompass our companies ages 5-40 with art forms ranging from hip hop to contemporary to spoken word. A collaboration of works presented during this show will thrill audiences of all ages. Come celebrate 20 years of CMI. "Capitol Movement has been a Washington DC nonprofit since October 2005, offering dance class, and performance opportunities to adults, teens and kids. Our studio offers classes to motivate, challenge and mentor dancers of all ages. Capitol Movement was founded to create better lives through dance - spanning hip hop, jazz, contemporary, and more. Run Time: 1 hour. All Ages

6:00 pm : Seth Kibel & The Kleztet

Klezmer, jazz, swing, and more with woodwind wizard Seth Kibel. Seth Kibel & The Kleztet will present an exciting and enlightening concert focusing on klezmer music - Eastern European Jewish folk music. Additionally, they will take detours into American jazz and swing and explore how all of these genres intersected and overlapped in the melting pot of Manhattan. Run Time: 1 hour. All Ages
