We believe all children should be supported and feel safe and for the children experiencing abuse or neglect, this is not the case. The goal of our event is to increase awareness of our CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteer services advocating for children from Taylor County in the foster care system, to recruit new volunteers and raise funds to support our mission. All proceeds from our race will directly benefit Big Country CASA in our mission to give a “voice” to abused and neglected children in court and the Taylor County foster care system.
Event Schedule:
7:30am - Check-In/Race Day Packet Pick Up
8:30am - Welcome, warm-up…
8:45am - National Anthem and Flag Presentation
9:00am - 5k Run Starts (Elite Runners 1st, Runners 2nd, Walkers/Strollers 3rd)
9:45am - Awards Ceremony for Runners
10:00am - “Chase the Villain” Children’s Run for 1 - 4 years (In front circle across from registration)
10:15am - “Chase the Villain” Children’s Run 4 -12 years
